Filmed Yesterday!

Yesterday, I filmed the majority of my scenes and will finish filming tonight. Since I may possibly have corona virus, I had to do the filming in my room by myself. The hardest part was trying to angle to camera without a tripod. Though this was a difficulty I had to work with, I learned to overcome it quickly by thinking creatively. I did this often by stacking books and putting my phone up onto stacked pillows. One of my scenes even incorporate a shot overlooking my bed that I took by placing my phone on my fan. Another issue that affected my work was the LED light strips I used as a mise en scene element. Though it was an essential touch, it messed with the camera's quality if the light hit it in a certain way, To fix this, I simply would cover the light that was being emitted from the computer by using objects such as my computer (in a scene that involved it) or with my knees. Other than these problems, filming appeared to be a success and tonight will bring a completion to the filming checklist,

Guess who's in Complete Isolated Quarantine!

COVID-19 has struck my project again. My girlfriend has Coronavirus and is very sick and I have begin to feel unwell. I have not left my room in 3 days and am now completely isolated to my room. This means that once again, I have to change my idea completely and scrap my old idea. I have come up with the idea to make the film opening about an a man who falls in love online. Since I am confined to my bathroom and my room, this makes it perfectly suited for the idea.
All I need is to focus on is filming myself finding a match online. This can be faked easily by using a website such as messenger and using it with a friend. I can still used my idea of the main character living in a damaged home. I could do this by having myself come out of the bathroom and have my parents arguing at a further point in the house since my house is angled that way. This could show the audience he's frustrated and is feeling down. This can relate to a vast amount of people as many people have parents that have disputes. This makes the audience feel more connected, which is what is needed for a romantic film. After this, he can go to his room and check his phone for a bit until he stumbles upon the website. He starts off with no hope but gets a message. After clicking on it, he begins to flirt and have a genuine conversation. She tells him to meet her at an address. He decides to go and it ends there with a cliff hanger.

Might have covid-19

Might Have Coronavirus

My girlfriend began to experience various symptoms of the COVID-19 virus yesterday, and with me having seen her less than 3 days ago... my family is going nuts. This means I need to film now, or else I won't be able to film if I get the virus. Another issue would be that I have a very bad laptop without editing software, but an easy solution I thought of was to use WeVideo. This is a website our teacher presented us with to edit our films if we didn't have other software at hand. This will most likely affect my CCR. I was planning to do my CCR in locations where I filmed. An easy fix is to put some parts of the filmed footage into the CCR and use a voice over to make it interactive.
